Meet Bahijja Raimi-Abraham: 27 Year-Old Nigerian Who Emerged First PhD Pharmacy Graduate from University of East Anglia, UK

Dr. Bahijja Raimi-Abraham, was born in Lagos, Nigeria in April 1985. She left Nigeria at the age of six, and completed her education in the UK, but I guess we could lay claim to her intelligence genes.
She had earlier obtained her first degree in Pharmacy from the same University, University of East Anglia, which is probably a small, local university where all the choir masters/mistresses go (not to speak of the fact that it sounds like a fictional institution from the Harry Potter series) but its in the UK! Instant primacy over any of our Nigerian universities, churning out, in our Finance Minister’s words, “unemployable graduates”
Well what can I say? Yippy! And Congrats Bahijja, and I hope you don’t get too used to giving interviews. The Nigerian fascination never lasts… 🙂
