Yahoo Confirms Mega-Hack

Yahoo Inc reported the theft of 400,000 user names and passwords to access its own site as well as those of other unidentified companies, saying that hackers had taken advantage of a security vulnerability in its computer systems.
According to Yahoo spokeswoman Dana Lengkeek “the vulnerability” is being fixed.
This is happening on the heels of the hack into LinkedIn last month, resulting in the publication of 6.4 million member passwords.
“123456” was the most commonly-used password exposed by the Yahoo breach.
